Angry Birds fonts & visual branding
Typography is a powerful tool for building visual brand identity.
In preparation for the Angry Birds Movie marketing campaign I took on an overhaul for the brand visual assets including the Angry Birds logos and fonts. The birds are always present in the stylized letterforms with feathery details.

A typo poster I made for the internal launch of the AB Flock font family. It wasn't used for some reason, even though the type setting demonstrates the elegant lo ligature.
Angry Birds Flock font family was created in preparation for the movie marketing activities. Several weights and styles were designed to cover all use cases for that extra feathery touch! Angry Birds Flock type family is yet another collaboration with type master John Roshell from Comicraft
I designed all the international Angry Birds Movie logo variants trying to keep the feathery strokes consistent through different languages. I designed print materials for the movie premiere and art directed several collaborations.
The original Angry Birds logo was streamlined and simplified to serve better in various sizes and printing techniques. The silhouette was kept very similar, and the letters got feathery details just like in the Angry Birds Flock font family.
Angry Birds Movie 2 logo went all the way with bevels and extrusions.
